Pirates

Filed under: Fanfic, Original — Andy @ 05:25:39 pm

When I was a lad, I had an encounter with a pirate, and his ship the black pearl!

As you may have guessed by now, this pirate was in fact the notorious captain Jack Sparrow. I, being from China originally, met this great man as he came into our port bearing trading goods. One item in particular caught my interest when he came to port.

I had heard stories through the years about a compass that he carried that would point to the thing that you wanted most. Back in those days I wanted to have all kinds of treasure and adventures just like Jack Sparrow. Any way, to get back to the story, I went to the ship while the captain was away trading some of his swag, for such things as food, drink, and other necessities.

I climbed up the ship’s gangplank and looked around. I saw a dirty ship smelling of rum and unwashed men. Not what I would have expected from such a famous ship…

Upon further study of the ship I found a few gold trinkets here and there, probably things belonging to men on other ships that they had looted. I was just finding my way back off the ship when I came face to face with Captain Jack Sparrow himself!

He seemed in high spirits that day; he grinned at me, and asked me what I might be doing aboard his ship. I stood there thinking for a minute or two, though it felt like hours. He saw I was having trouble coming up with a possible answer, and started listing off a few choices for me to choose from. “Are you wanting to sink me ship perhaps?” he said “or maybe you have heard of me and you wanted to see what I looked like in real life?” he gave as a second choice.

“Or perhaps you wanted to be a part of me crew and figured your only chance would be if you stowed away?” he gave as one final choice. I stammered for a second and finally managed to spit out that I was interested in the ship, and would love to join the crew but my mother might have some objections to that. “It’ a hard life being a pirate mate,” he said in a matter of fact kind of voice, “but if you would like to be one I would suggest you first tell your mum all the benefits and tell her I’m willing to hire a new cabin boy if that’s what you wish.”

I have an old computer. You know, the kind that only works when you have something else you have to be doing? Yeah thats my computer for you.

It use to be that white/Grey color most computers come with, but I’ve had it a while, got bored from one too many hours of waiting for it to work right and now it has sort of a blueish tinge to it… at least the side thats still on it. I have no idea where the other panel for this stupid machine is now, probably broke something on it and threw it out or something.

Heh yeah, found an old can of paint by the dumpster when I was taking the trash out. Doesn’t seem to help the computer any, but it gives me something to do while I wait for this piece of junk to finish loading my E-mail. right now theres a few random paintings of people and things I dream about when I’m not painting; when I’m sleeping in my chair waiting for this age old apple to run.

I could probably afford a new one if I ate peanut butter sandwiches for a month, or sponged off my parents a little. Or got a better job… But I’m kind of use to it now. It gives me something to complain about when I’m hanging out with my friends.

He walked with a limp, his right foot lagging behind slightly. His face was different, he looked a little slow.

James was his name; James Ronald Burk. He made his way down the sidewalk to his next class, lagging behind his class mates by a few yards. A girl walked towards him and made eye contact with him for a second; then blushed and lowered her head looking at the ground as she passed him.

He was different and he usually liked being that way, but this was one of those times he wasn’t enjoying how he was made. He walked a little faster, looking at the ground and concentrating on walking. In class they had a pop-quiz, but besides that it was uneventful.

The other kids seemed to hold him back from learning. They always needed help, and they would take up most of the class time just going over the same thing James had understood at the beginning of the week.

My Thoughts

Filed under: Journal — Andy @ 04:56:01 pm

I’ve been writing in my book so I’m going to rephrase some snippets of it here. Its my thoughts and ideas and feelings about things I don’t usually think about but I did at that time so I put it down so I wouldn’t forget.

I’m thinking about testing something out. mediating, because from the little bit I’ve done I’ve been successful. I seem to be good at being a mediator so I figure I’ll try it out on Runescape (my test site for such experiments) and see if I’m any good at it.

actually I wont talk about things I have in the book… I’ll just talk about my thoughts on whatever pops into my head.

oh before I finish here I must say that I do in fact hate: rap, most jazz, heavy metal, and the majority of rock. And I don’t like many songs sung by black people as the lead singer… its not that I don’t like black people its just that they have a certain accent and style that I don’t much enjoy…

I do like some music with more of a beat to it but apparently all rhythm is sin, Mom thinks, so I keep away from it for the most part…

I’m a little depressed from a lack of things to do lately but for the most part I’m alright just doing school and playing games… maybe I should take up cooking or something to pass the time.

once the snow melts I might start playing basketball again… start mowing the grass when it needs it… maybe look for a job before school gets out for the other kids so I have a jump on them.

I guess I’ve filled my quota for writing…
